After her self-titled debut album sold more than 16 million copies upon its initial 1990 release, Mariah Carey released her highly-anticipated second album, Emotions. Released in 1991, it sold only 10 million copies worldwide - a big drop from her debut album where most people expected it to top her debut, sales-wise. Thankfully, it proved not to be the end for Mariah, as albums such as Music Box and Daydream went on to sell inexcess of 20 million a-piece. This album is absolutely superb and a lot more fun and care-free than some of Mariah's later albums. Emotions begins with the single Emotions (10/10). Released in 1991, the single peaked at No.17 in the UK but was another huge US No.1 for Mariah. The song is pure pop fun with an up-tempo bassline and classic beats. And You Don't Remember (10/10) is the first of the album's many ballads - and a good one it is too.
